  192. 1.8 SEQUENCING

  196.         are completed and all other finishes are installed.

  199.         begin in an area before obtaining installer's acceptance

  212.         installed or 5 linear yards (5 m), whichever is greater.

  339. PART 3  EXECUTION
  340.  
  341. 3.1 EXAMINATION
  342.  
  343.     A.  Installer's Examination:
  344.         1.  Have installer of this section examine conditions
  345.             under which construction activities of this section
  346.             are to be performed, then submit written notification
  347.             if such conditions are unacceptable.
  348.         2.  Transmit two copies of installer's report to
  349.             Architect within 24 hours of receipt.
  350.         3.  Beginning construction activities of this section
  351.             before unacceptable conditions have been corrected is
  352.             prohibited.
  353.         4.  Beginning construction activities of this section
  354.             indicates installer's acceptance of conditions.
  355.  
  356. 3.2 INSTALLATION
  357.  
  358.     A.  Install systems in accordance with shop drawings and
  359.         manufacturer's instructions.
  360.  
  361.     B.  Install concealed framework extrusions in maximum lengths
  362.         practical:
  363.         1.  Form end-to-end butt joints with hairline joints.
  364.         2.  Where horizontal and vertical concealed framework
  365.             extrusions intersect, form hairline mitered joints.
  366.         3.  Joint locations shall not be visible in finished
  367.             Work.
  368.  
  369.     C.  Install core materials so that joints between core
  370.         materials and edges of concealed framework extrusions are
  371.         not visible in finished Work; rabbet edges of rigid core
  372.         materials for flush fit at nailing flanges of concealed
  373.         framework extrusions.
  374.  
  375.     D.  Install fabrics without visible wrinkles or folds,
  376.         maintaining horizontal/vertical alignment of warp/woof of
  377.         fabric; force fabric edges into clamping jaws, using
  378.         tools and techniques that will not damage finish of
  379.         fabrics.
  380. NOTE ** Delete the following paragraph if no panel reveals
  381.         in project.
  382.  
  383.     E.  Install reveal materials in maximum lengths practical.
  384.  
  385. 3.3 PROTECTION OF INSTALLED PRODUCTS
  386.  
  387.     A.  Protect finished installation from damage by subsequent
  388.         construction activities until Substantial Completion.
  389.  
  390.     B.  If areas of fabrics become soiled by subsequent
  391.         construction activities, clean in accordance with fabric
  392.         manufacturer's recommendations; replace soiled areas that
  393.         cannot be cleaned to Architect's acceptance in accordance
  394.         with the following paragraph.
  395.  
  396.     C.  Where fabric has become soiled, or otherwise visibly
  397.         damaged, to the extent that repairs cannot be made to the
  398.         Architect's acceptance, have installer of this section
  399.         remove entire run of fabric and replace with new material
  400.         in accordance with requirements of this section; cost of
  401.         replacement shall not affect Contract Sum.
  402. NOTE ** The following sample schedule may assist in
  403.         establishing a schedule to identify locations of
  404.         products in the project; coordinate with drawings.
